Practical engineering for combat units without engineer support: how to dig and revet a position that survives, build and breach obstacles, and recognise explosive hazards well enough to avoid them and report them accurately.

Training objectives

  • Construct survivable field positions.
  • Emplace and breach basic obstacles.
  • Identify and correctly report explosive hazards.

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18, medically fit for physical activity.
  • Field-appropriate clothing and footwear for the season.
